Marine Serre

Marine Serre, the winner of the LVMH Prize 2017, managed to work with Demna Gvasalia at Balenciaga, complete an internship at Maison Margiela and Dior, and open her own brand, most known items of which are ones with the signature crescent-shaped logo. Serre is a convinced supporter of upcycling: a lot of her collections are remade from already used materials. The designer constantly experiments with production methods, combining handicraft with technological developments, as well as with materials — from moiré silk to quilted leather. A unique mix of vintage and sportswear, combined with various couture techniques — this is what makes Marine one of the most recognizable designers of our time.
