Recommendation Technologies Rules
These Recommendation Technologies Rules (the "Rules") have been developed in accordance with Article 10.2-2 of Federal Law No. 149-FZ of 27.07.2006 "On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection" and describe how recommendation technologies are applied on the website www.km20.ru (the "Website").
Recommendation technologies are information technologies for providing information based on the collection, systematisation and analysis of data related to the preferences of Internet users located in the Russian Federation.
Where recommendation technologies are applied
Recommendation technologies are applied on the Website for:
- — generating product recommendation blocks (including "Recommended", "Similar products" and personal product selections);
- — personalising the content of the Website pages and offers, including in e-mail messages sent to users.
Types of data used to provide information
The following data related to user preferences is used to provide information with the application of recommendation technologies:
- — data on the user's actions on the Website: product page views, search queries, adding products to the cart and to favourites, placed orders;
- — technical data: cookies, IP address, information about the device and browser used;
- — user account data (if any): order history and profile settings.
Sources of data
The sources of the above data are:
- — data provided by the user when using the Website, registering and placing orders;
- — data collected automatically during the user's interaction with the Website, including through cookies and web analytics tools.
Processes and methods of collection, systematisation and analysis of data
Data is collected automatically in the course of the user's interaction with the Website. Data is systematised and analysed automatically using algorithms that match the user's actions with the characteristics of the products presented on the Website.
Based on the results of the analysis, personal recommendations are generated: the user is provided with information about products that are most likely to match their preferences. Data processing is fully automated; no decisions producing legal consequences for the user are made on the basis of recommendation technologies.
