Jean Paul Gaultier
Jean-Paul Gaultier is a French couturier who broke all the canons of high fashion in his time, therefore receiving the nickname enfant terrible — "unbearable child". In his collections, Gaultier blurred the boundaries between men's and women's wardrobes. He took inspiration from different subcultures and national costumes from various countries and glorified unconventional beauty in all its manifestations. Entire generations of designers such as Glenn Martens, Shayne Oliver, Olivier Rousteing and many others grew up on Gaultier's works. In 2020, Gaultier announced his retirement from the runway after 50 years in fashion, holding his last show. In 2025, his brand was headed by Dutch designer Duran Lantink.
