CHARLES JEFFREY LOVERBOY is a brand founded by Scottish designer and illustrator Charles Jeffrey. While studying at Central Saint Martins, Jeffrey combined his studies with work in retail, and then worked as a designer's assistant at Jack Wills to save money for an internship at the Christian Dior haute couture atelier in Paris. Jeffrey and his friends opened a nightclub in East London called Loverboy, where they showcased the brand's debut collections and staged their first shows. The brand's collections combine Scottish heritage with underground club culture to create their own unique style.
