Duran Lantink

Duran Lantink is the name brand of Dutch-born designer Duran Lantink, founded in 2018. Lantink was able to make a loud statement even before the release of his first full-fledged collection, creating pink “wolf pants” for singer Janelle Monae's music video for the song “Pynk”. Since the first seasons, the designer's trademark has been bold experiments with shapes and flesh-colored modifications, referring to the archival works of Rei Kawakubo (Comme des Garçons) and Jean-Paul Gaultier. One can recognize Duran Lantink's clothes by the voluminous rounded foam overlays that hypertrophy the natural curves of the body, giving it a cartoonish look. Upscycling is also an important theme for Durand: he started altering things when he was still at school, creating his first mini-collection from his father's old Diesel jeans and his grandmother's tablecloths. In 2024, Lantinck won the Karl Lagerfeld Special Prize at the prestigious LVMH Prize competition for young designers. In 2025 Durand Lantink was appointed Creative Director of Jean Paul Gaultier - the first since Jean Paul Gaultier himself left the brand he created.
